Well, Ill Tell ya. This has been a fairly long road getting through this presentation. I seem to be having problems in narrowing down my topic sufficiently. This time though I got sidetracked into the marketing portion or Social Media and it almost wiped the whole presentation. The fact that I lost a significant amout of research time because of Moms health didn't help but its still no excuse. So tonight, I go and put my best foot forward. I like the presentation and think its pretty decent. I don't like my slides but that time has passed.

Time to go forward and kick some presentation ass!

After a week of seemingly little homework.. the pace has kicked me in the.. shins.. yeah. I figured I would allow this weekend for programming homework. Nope.. now we have Confrence (Which I am excited about even if Ill prob be one of the oldest "students" there) and then more programming work then expected followed by studying for a midterm 2 days later. Think Ill take a night to go for beverages after and then back to the grind of presentation 3

With my presentation presented, and my programming homework puxhed back (Thank God), I was looking to watch some football. Unfortunatly, the Daddy role raised up as neither one of my kids wanted to go to bed. Next thing I know.. its 11PM.
Trying to keep 1 kid in bed is rough.. trying with 2 that will wake up and just go into your bed while you are out like a light.. whole different story.

Well after a ton of research hours and endless nitpicking my presentation its over! I think that my delivery was pretty good as I really did remember a lot, however I thin kI leaned on my notes anyways. Realized about 1/2 way through that I think my crowd was bored so either need more interaction, or, need to have more amusing slides. I still was not 100% sure about the content of my presentation, but to fit time, I had to chop a LOT out.

Now.. onto the next presentation

I am surprised that after awhile, all of the soucres start looking alike.
But, I think the final outline is done However, I just found out that the netflix prize (which is a small part of my presentation) will not actually be awarded until Monday....

Work to go = some.

I feel like a guru in a l sense as I knew nothing about this topic now I almost think that I know too much.

Perk of Grad school

One fo the perks of Grad school is getting to see famous people speak at a discount price.. in thie case free!!! :)
Got to see Kofi Annon tonight. I thought that his speech was interesting. It is amazing what a person of his stature can learn and really. the man has met presidents and world leaders and didn't have a bad thing to day about any of them really. That's some patience. He was very inspirational in saying that to this generation, we are a global community. I almost think that after I am gone, this will be true. Just perhaps not in my lifetime.
